Competition Rules
- Registration
- Participants that sign up for the SPIN F1 League are required to have the following items in order to compete
- A copy of EA Sports F1 24
- Have an EA account linked to their Steam, Microsoft, or PlayStation account
- Have either a working controller or working wheel/pedal to use during competition
- A Discord account to provide as an active communication tool between the player and the Stay Plugged In team

- Participants will sign up using the F1 SPIN website in order to sign up for the event
- Participants are able to sign up at any point during the span of the competition
- Players must sign up within 12 hours of a race in order to be added to the race. Players who do not sign up in the 12 hour window may be kept out of that week’s race and added to next week’s race
- Participants are able to sign up at any point during the span of the competition
- Player registration is open only to players 18 years old or younger and must be in High School or pursuing a High School related degree of completion

- Format
- Participants will compete over the course of 8 weeks in a series of qualifying races and GP races
- All competitors will compete in a single “Qualifying Race”. The top (X) racers will advance to the “GP”.
- A single (1) GP race will take place with up to 23 racers.
- The number of racers that advance to the GP will be determined by the number of qualifiers to meet the twenty-three (23) racer threshold in the “GP”
- If there are ten (10) “qualifiers” then two (2) racers per qualifier will advance, if five (5) “qualifiers” then four (4) racers per will advance.
- All qualifiers will advance the same number of racers, so the “GP” may have less than twenty-three (23) racers.
- All competitors will compete in a single “Qualifying Race”. The top (X) racers will advance to the “GP”.
- Competitors will earn points through participation in Qualifying races and GPs. Each racer will receive one (1) point for participating in Qualifiers. GP points are allocated as follows:

- The first week of the season will be the “Preseason” and points will not count towards qualification for the Playoffs

- Playoff Qualification
- A maximum of forty (40) players can qualify for playoffs.
- Each Week, the top 3 placings players in the “GP” will automatically qualify for the playoffs
- A maximum 18 Players and minimum of 3 players will automatically qualify by placings over the 6 regular season weeks.
- If any of the Top 3 finishers have qualified in a previous week, the qualification slot(s) will extend to the players qualifying by point totals following the regular season.
- Following the 6 week regular season, a maximum of 37 and minimum of 22 players will be selected based on point totals throughout the season to qualify for the playoffs.
- If there's a tie in points for the final qualification slot, the tiebreaker scenarios listed below will be assessed to determine who will receive the playoff bid.
- A maximum of forty (40) players can qualify for playoffs.
- Playoffs
- Format: Knockout
- Duration: 1.5 - 3 Hours
- Semifinals: The 40 racers compete in 2 separate races. The top 10 finishers from each race advance, and the bottom 10 are eliminated.
- Finals: The remaining 20 racers compete for the championship, with only 1 racer winning.

- Participants will compete over the course of 8 weeks in a series of qualifying races and GP races
- League Calendar
- A mandatory Driver’s Meeting will take place on Thursday March 20th at 5pm EST to brief drivers on rules, courses, and to meet our driver ambassador.
- Races will take place on Tuesdays beginning March 25th at 5pm EST.
- There will be a “Testing Session” each Thursday of the season beginning March 27th at 5pm EST. This interactive experience will teach fast lines around the track, set-up advice and tips for reaching the podium.

- Failure to join the race on time will result in a disqualification from the race

- Any disputes during the race which can include but are not limited to: cheating, griefing, unsportsmanlike behavior, should be brought to the attention of the race admin
- In the event that a dispute is brought to the admins attention, do not stop racing

- Power of Admin
- The lead event admin will have the sole discretion to make final decisions based on the rules outlined in this document

- Cheating/Glitching
- Any cheating, as determined by the Tournament Organizers in their sole discretion, will result in immediate disqualification and additional penalties depending on the severity of the infraction
- Any intentional use of a glitch or bug is strictly prohibited at any time. Evidence of such behaviors will result in a forfeit and potential suspension.
- In the event of a glitch occurring, the protesting player must submit video evidence of the glitch. Stay Plugged In reserves the right to use their discretion on how to enforce any glitch that occurs
- Any cheating, as determined by the Tournament Organizers in their sole discretion, will result in immediate disqualification and additional penalties depending on the severity of the infraction
